A full description of our grading can be found on our website at https://www.itrefurbs.ca/pages/grading-explained
All our products undergo a thorough process for refurbishment. The systems are run through our MIST diagnostic package to test all components through a series of automated and manual testing. Component performance is based against a series of metrics, outright failures or missed metrics mean a replacement for that component. The scoring of the passing base lines will help determine a unit’s grade.
Open Box
- An open-Box system should be in nearly new condition free of defects. All OEM accessories and chargers are included with original product box. Some original documentation and/or packing material maybe missing.
Excellent (Grade A)
- An excellent condition system should have only very minor cosmetic defects. It may contain very minor screen marks which are not “visible” when the screen is on. The battery should have a 2-hour minimum life under standard use.
Good (Grade B)
- A Good condition system should have only minor cosmetic defects. It may contain minor screen marks which are not “visible” when the screen is on. The battery should have a 1-hour minimum life under standard use.
Fair (Grade C)
- A fair condition system is fully functioning. These Systems will have cosmetic blemishes or signs of cosmetic repair. With desktop units, it is often dents, dings, or minor grill damage. Laptops will often be graded as fair due to the screen. A fair laptop screen often contains some of the following: screen marks, “keycuts”, or light diffusion (light spots). The battery should have a 45 minimum life under standard use.
